Gearoid Dolan has been awarded the RISE Staff Award for Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion for 2024. They were honored on Tuesday, April 23 with this prestigious award.
This award is given to a staff member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to enrich the experience for students at MIT. This staff member has shown a passion and willingness to engage undergraduate and/or graduate students in activities, programs, or simply in dialogue about matters related to diversity and inclusion.
The RISE Awards – Recognizing Individuals Supporting Equity – is an opportunity to celebrate MIT faculty, staff and students on their work with diversity, inclusion and social justice on and off campus. MIT community members nominate their peers and colleagues for these awards. The RISE AWARDS is a collaboration sponsored by Intercultural Engagement (i.e.), Institute Community and Equity Office (ICEO), LBGTQ+ Services, Women and Gender Services (WXGS), Office of Graduate Education (OGE), and Office of Minority Education (OME).
